This transdisciplinary research project considers how myths and beliefs interfere with the creation of personal and collective realities in experiencing contaminated spaces. In other words, the main focus addresses radioactive contamination and radioactive inheritance in relation to belief, and the interactions between belief, myths, and rituals.

Archetypes of Contamination navigates across Nuclear Natures, through different implications of radioactive contamination and belief across three territories: Latvia, Sardinia and Finland, developing around structures apt at containing or conveying radioactivity.
This project is being realized thanks to the contribution of Taike Arts Promotion Centre, Finland.
